I got a panic call one beautiful Fall day. Barbara from CA called and she was in a panic. Someone stole her Stress Card from her office drawer. She wanted a replacement fast. She said she used the card everday to test and check her stress level. Who would steal such a thing she asked? We shot some replacement cards out to her. She was planning on sharing cards around the office to prevent her stress card from being taken.

This is a stress card. It can be printed on Heavy Cardstock or Plastic. Business card size or credit card size. The Stress Test part is a Stress Chip = plastic film with liquid crystal that is reactive and changes color from heat. By placing your thumb on the Stress Chip, you can test the temperature of your finger.

The stress chip changes color as it measures your fingertip temperature.  The color change gives you a reading of your stress level. Use the color bar on the card to gauge your stress level.

Amazon customer asked, "I bought these [stress squares] and showed them to my son. he tried one in each hand. one was green the other black. he laughed and walked off. they work? don't work?"

He is asking about Stress Squares that we sell on Amazon and our website.

It seems really confusing at first glance. But in fact the temperature can be different from one hand to the other. Most often I see this when someone is "trying" to make their right hand warmer. Often it will cool down. Check the left hand, and it will be warmer. Warmer because of passive or "allowing" relaxtion to happen.

I have even seen temperature differences from one finger to the other. To some degree, we all suffer from a bit of performance anxiety. In this case the anxiety is over the pressure to heat up your hands and relax.

Training with scientific relaxation will build confidence and experience in how to relax the body and mind. Take time, it is like learning any new skill. With feedback you can track your progress. The Stress Thermometer kit is a very good basic introduction.
